Lambskin: Sustainability from Wunderfell

If you want to wear a real fur jacket, a fur coat or a fur waistcoat with a clear conscience these days, you should look carefully when choosing a fashion label. Where does the processed material come from? Is the manufacturing process sustainable and ethical? Where are the garments produced? All these factors are important to us and guide the design of every Wunderfell coat. In order for our customers to understand what makes our lambskin jackets different from other fashion labels, transparent communication about Wunderfell's values is particularly important to us. Sustainability, high quality craftsmanship as well as morally sound products are among our guiding principles and determine the design process from the first sketch to the finished coat in retail.

High quality lambskins from the food industry

For each design of Wunderfell coats and jackets we use high-quality lambskin, which is a waste product of the food industry and thus finds a contemporary reuse instead of being wasted. Breeding fur from mink, tanuki or fox, on the other hand, is an absolute taboo and is not used in any of our coats or jackets! Every Wunderfell design therefore complies with our ethical values and can be worn with a clear conscience.

Refined & timeless design

We have made it our goal to design lambskin jackets for eternity that are classic yet casually sophisticated. Every Wunderfell coat therefore goes through a loving design process that has been thought through down to the smallest detail - many of our models are even reversible and can be worn on both sides. Wunderfell stands for real investment pieces that offer you priceless added value every season because they are independent of fast-moving trends and are designed according to the slow fashion principle. In this way, we consciously speak out against the modern throwaway society and instead urge our customers to purchase our high-quality fur jackets, waistcoats and coats. Our shearling models not only stand out for their impeccable workmanship, high wearing comfort and almost unlimited durability, but thanks to their timeless look, they can be combined again and again
. With Wunderfell, you can rely on true evergreens in your wardrobe!

Environmentally friendly processing

In keeping with our philosophy of sustainability, we also focus on environmentally friendly processing in the production of our lambskin coats. When tanning our skins, we avoid using environmentally incompatible substances such as PCP, formaldehyde or azo dyes as far as possible. In addition, our partner companies use technically high-quality water filter systems. Furthermore, a tannery in Spain is currently developing a process in which only natural tanning agents and dyes can be used. In the near future, we will try to do completely without chemical substances. Our declared aim is not only to ensure the quality of our fur coats, but also to protect both the environment and people during the manufacturing process.

Fair production processes

The beautiful, soft and light quality of our skins comes from European factories, the coats are made up in Barcelona and Istanbul. As close cooperation with our local partners is important to us, we deliberately distance ourselves from production in low-wage countries and advocate fair working conditions with the manufacturers. We maintain long-term, personal relationships with our production partners, which are based on proximity and trust and reflect Wunderfell values.

Men's Body Measurement Chart for Jackets and Coats

The table refers to your body measurements, not to the measurements of the respective item!

Example: If your chest measurement is 102 cm, then the models in size M will fit you.

This is how you measure correctly:

Place the tape measure on the largest circumference, tightening the tape just enough so that it does not constrict.

A

Bust

Place the tape measure on the strongest part of the chest at the front, pass it under the arms, slightly rising at the back.

B

Waistband

Measure at the narrowest part of the torso. This is where the waist band is fixed.

Body dimension table

The table refers to your body measurements, not to the measurements of the respective item! Please put the tape measure on as shown below, it should be tight but not constricting.

The actual measurements of the jackets and coats are always at least 2 cm wider than the maximum values given in the body measurement table for a slim fit.
Wide models such as capes can also turn out considerably larger than the maximum value given in the body measurements table.

Example: If your chest measurement is 97 cm, then the models in size M will fit you.
